Hamburg – Rostock – Copenhagen – Malmö

This picture was taken the first night we arrived in Hamburg. We went to a DELICIOUS restaurant called Rheinische Republik, where we ate really good food. I ate schnitzel, which is the equivalent of the “cotoletta alla Milanese” in Italian, but it was much much bigger! Overall it was a fun night, but right then we understood how unbelievably cold the weather was going to be throughout the whole trip!

This picture was taken right outside our hotel, Motel One, in Hamburg. There was a beautiful sunset, and the sky was incredible! That afternoon we had the opportunity of going to professor’s house to enjoy some quality time together and eat pizza!

That night was definitely one of my favorite nights! In addition to seeing where my professor comes from, I also learned that he is a great guitar player and that he sings really well! Furthermore, I think that this is my most favorite night, because that night Pope Francesco was elected and to me it was a really significant event that I could never forget! After the dinner we went back to the hotel and got a good night sleep.

Professor definitely made the trip one of the best Franklin trips I’ve had so far. Knowing that we were suffering due to the cold, he was still very supportive and understanding. Throughout the trip I got to know him better and I’ve realized what a big heart he really has!

This page is dedicated to who made my trip a great one. What I absolutely love the most about these trips, is the opportunity we get to meet people we wouldn’t meet otherwise, or to get closer to the people we already consider important to us.

The top picture was taken in Copenhagen where we went for a fantastic dinner and extremely filling dinner by the shore. The middle picture is from St. Patrick’s Day, where Pierre, Curran, Todd, Adam, Gabi and I went to the Irish pub. It was probably the best night for me of the whole trip.

The bottom one was from the last night (professor’s birthday!) where we went for dinner at a bar and celebrated the end of our trip together!

I believe this picture pretty much sums up the temperature that was constant throughout the whole travel. I still remember seeing on my Iphone that it was -12 degrees Celsius outside and taking a screen shot of it. What I will always remember from this trip is the hopping from one bar to another in order to get a coffee or a very hot tea, or having to stop behind buildings in order to not feel the wind on my face for a couple of minutes, or also not feeling my legs nor feet nor nose, nor anything as a matter of fact!
